Website Terms

These Website Terms explain how you may use the 3D Electric LLC website and what the information on it means. They are written in plain English so a homeowner can read them in a few minutes. You can come back to the Website Terms any time you have a question about this site.

By using this website, you agree to these terms. They take effect on October 18, 2026. How we handle the information you send through our forms is covered in our separate privacy policy for this website.

Information on This Website Is General

The pages on this site describe the electrical and generator work 3D Electric LLC does in Southeast Michigan. Our guides explain topics such as generator sizing, fuel, transfer switches, cost factors and permits in general terms.

That information is not advice for your specific home or building. Every electrical system is different. Your panel, wiring, fuel supply, yard and local rules all change what a job needs. A licensed electrician has to look at the actual site before anyone can say what is right for it.

We work to keep the pages accurate and current. Codes, utility rules and product details change over time, so some information may be out of date when you read it.

Nothing on This Website Is a Quote

No page on this website is a quote, a bid or an offer to do work at a set price. Cost factors in our guides are there to help you plan, not to tell you what your job will cost.

How estimates work

Quotes from 3D Electric are free. We give estimates in writing after we see the job. The written estimate describes the work, the equipment and the price for your project.

What a quote request does

Sending a quote request through our contact and quote request form starts a conversation. It does not create a contract, and it does not book an appointment. We contact you to talk about the project and set a time to see it.

  • Scope, price and schedule are set only in a written estimate from 3D Electric LLC.

  • Work begins only after you and 3D Electric agree to that estimate.

  • If anything on the website differs from your written estimate, the written estimate controls.

Permits and Code Requirements

Permits, inspections and code rules for electrical and generator work depend on where the job is. Your city or township building department issues the permit and sets the local requirements. Those requirements can change, and they can differ from one town to the next.

When our pages talk about permits, inspections, setbacks or code, treat it as a general overview. Confirm current requirements for your address with your local building department. Your written estimate from 3D Electric describes the permit and inspection steps for your job.

Utility rules work the same way. Electric service, meters and gas connections follow the rules of your utility. Most of our area is served by DTE Energy for electric service.

Safety Information Is Not a Substitute for an Electrician

Some pages include general safety points, such as never backfeeding a home through a dryer outlet and never running a portable generator in a garage. These points are general knowledge, not instructions for your situation.

  • If something electrical is sparking, smoking or smells hot, turn off power to it only if you can do so safely.

  • For fire or smoke, leave the building and call 911.

  • For a downed power line, stay away from it and call 911 and your electric utility.

  • If you smell gas, leave the area and call your gas utility from outside.

Do not attempt electrical work you are not trained and permitted to do. For urgent electrical problems, call (734) 697-8477: 24-hour emergency service available. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 7 am to 5 pm.

Photos, Content and Brand Names

Photos

The job photos on this website show 3D Electric's own work: generators, transfer switches, panels, meters and other jobs our crew completed. Lectro the Leopard is 3D Electric's mascot, created by our owner, Jayson.

Website content

The text, photos, logos and mascot artwork on this site belong to 3D Electric LLC. You may read, print and share pages for personal use. Please do not copy them for commercial use without our written permission.

Brand names

Generac, Honeywell, Kohler and other brand names belong to their owners. Naming a brand on this site describes equipment we work with. It does not mean the brand endorses 3D Electric or that 3D Electric is a dealer for that brand.

Using This Website Fairly

Please use this website and its forms only for real questions and project requests. Do not send false information, spam or harmful files through the forms. Do not try to break, overload or get around the security of the site.

We may update, move or remove pages at any time. We may also stop responding to form messages that are abusive or clearly not about electrical work.

Your Privacy

When you call, email or send a form, you share details such as your name, phone number, address and project description. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect through this website, how we use it and how to reach us about it.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms when our website or our practices change. The effective date on this page shows when the current version took effect. If you keep using the site after a change, the updated terms apply.

Current version effective: October 18, 2026.
